Corporate Parenting Plan

Corporate Parenting is:

“An organisation’s performance of actions necessary to uphold the rights and safeguard the wellbeing of a looked after child or care leaver, and through which physical, emotional, spiritual, social and educational development is promoted.”

The whole organisation, and every member of staff, is responsible for fulfilling corporate parenting duties.

The NAFC Marine Centre UHI has adopted the duties and responsibilities of a Corporate Parent as a matter of good practice, although it is not defined as a Corporate Parent under the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
