Information for Members of the Public

This information is for members of the public interested in booking a room in Port Arthur House. Information for students is available here.

To book a room in Port Arthur House, or if you have any queries, please contact NAFC Reception.


Prices for members of the public (non-students) staying in Port Arthur House (including VAT):

Single Room

  • £30 per day
  • £168 per week

Twin Room

  • £40 per day
  • £252 per week


Terms and Conditions

All residents are subject to Port Arthur House Guest Rules (pdf file). These are general rules regarding respecting other guests, keeping communal areas clean and observing Health & Safety.

Booking and Deposit

We do not take deposits. To secure a booking you need to pay for it in advance, within 24 hours of invoicing, which is generated at the time of booking.


Please go to the Reception at Port Arthur House to collect your key and be shown your room. Our accommodation is manned in the evening so if you arrive late we will still be able to welcome you. However, in order to make sure we are able to give you our best service, please let us know when you book, what time think you might arrive.


Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for cancelled bookings.


WIFI is free throughout Port Arthur House and the campus. Please select Guestv2 or TheCloud and follow the instructions to set up your WIFI account.


Our accommodation is not suitable for children under 16.


Unfortunately we can’t allow pets in our accommodation.


Parking is free and available in our own campus carpark. Car owners use the facilities at their own risk. There is no CCTV.


The NAFC will not insure your personal belongings while at Port Arthur House and you should ensure that you have your own insurance cover.
