Atlantia II is a 12.0 metre wooden-hulled vessel, originally built as a commercial fishing vessel.
Capabilities
Atlantia II can carry out fishing gear trials and surveys using various fishing gears, including otter trawls, scallop dredges, jiggers, creels, pots and traps.
She can also deploy other types of sampling and monitoring equipment, including plankton nets, grabs, dredges, current meters, databuoys, etc.
Class
The Atlantia II is a registered fishing vessel and is also classed as an MCA Category 2 workboat.
